Well if we can keep playing our style of baseball......it sure would be nice to put the NL on alert by pinning down the Cards......

All stats are going our way against Suppan tonite. Wells has a good ERA against St Louis and Piazza/Dave Roberts have good hitting numbers against the Cardinal pitcher.

Mike Thompson is starting today instead of Wells.

    Wells has ankle issues.

"ankle issues"? I don't like the sound of that.
Post-season rotation: Peavy, Young, Williams, Hensley.

6-5 Padres in the bottom of the 7th. Wonder if Bochy will let Hoffman pitch three days in a row if it comes to that.

Linebrink can hit. Gotta love Bochy letting his relievers swing the bat lately.

I have to say, the Padres are playing good baseball going into the postseason. With the Dodgers, Mets, and Cards struggling like they are the Pads might have a good chance. I wouldn't count on Wells too much much bt Peavy, Young and Woody could do some damage against these teams who aren't playing good ball.
