Hirsh is being recalled from AAA Round Rock and CHP is coming off the DL.

Also, its been 2 innings so far and Pettitte is pitching very well. Nice to see these 3 games here in FSN.

Now it's time to go tear apart the division rivals.

It was a great win, but the RISP needs to improve.

I change my mind, this upcoming stand (SF, AZ, LA) will be one of the most important if the team wants to play in October.

Bah. Runners LOB is an overrated stat. It only looks horrendous when teams, such as this year's Padres, do it so much without scoring any runs.
If you score runs it's really not a big deal if you leave runners on base at the end of doing so.

I don't care if they leave 27 runners on base (Max number you can without going to extra innings...) as long as they score runs in the process.

Hitting with RISP is what gets you runs.

but if you do it enough in a game to get 7 runs, it's not really a big deal if you don't do it some more to get 8 or 9.

Then on a continual basis, the LOB during our losing streak was pittiful.

But for the most part, good game today. Woody quietly has been pitching well this season, which is good for the long run come October.

I agree, but they weren't scoring 7 runs a game during the losing streak.

They were leaving runners on base and scoring maybe 1 or 2 of them the entire game....which is pitiful.

All I'm saying is that a scoring inning is obviously going to come to an end at some point and it's kinda dumb to expect all innings to end with the bases empty, or maybe 1 here and there.

Furthermore, it's a bit much to expect them to score every inning, and some runners will be left on during these non scoring innings.

As long as they get runners across home plate it's not a big deal if other runners are left on base in the process.
