Yes, EY didn't bring much to this club offensively, but he's a guy that BJ and Barfield looked up to as a mentor, he was a leader in the clubhouse. I think he meant a lot more to that team than any of us know.

He may have stood by the third base bag for some games at portland. But from reports i've heard, he wasn't really "playing" third.

I think Bellhorn will improve his numbers. Not anywhere at .300, but .250 is more like it.
Remember, the Padres now only have 1 backup outfielder, Ben Johnson. What are you going to do if Roberts goes down for a few days or even Cameron? I think you need to have more than 1 backup outfielder at this point, especially when Cust has been pounding the ball up in Portland.
