Was better than the line showed. No hit the Yanks through 3.2 with 4 K's and 1 walk. Then he looked like he was gassed after his brief, 15 inning, rehab stint. After what was a HORRIBLE missed call on a pitch to A-Rod, he proceeded to walk him and the next batter, hitting the next, and walked the next to allow a run. He allowed his lone hit to Cairo to score two runs and he was taken out of the game. If he builds back the endurance, those first 3.2 looked very very promising.

I got the feeling that it wasn't as bad as it looked, I noticed his pitch count was only 73, which isn't great, but not inclusive of a horrible outing.

    I wish him the best.

(but we still got the better end of the deal. )

No argument there. I'm not a huge fan Aki really. Sure he's helped the pen, but the rotation sorely misses CY alot more than the pen needed another closer.

No hitting a team for part of the game and then coming unravelled is an Eaton special.....if you're a Ranger fan......enjoy that aspect of his game

Can't wait Our pitchers, not named Padilla, usually don't give us 6 good ones so I'll take that.

Eaton is a little crazy in the head, I'd imagine. He often blames his surroundings for his downfalls, but seemed to mature imeansely last season. He has ridiculous talent and, when the time is right, I believe it will all come together.

He did look very promising the first 3.2 innings, despite 1 walk and 1 hit batter. He completely lost it on the last out int he 4th though, but there were a lot of borderline pitches called balls that could have easily been called strikes that would have gotten him out of the inning. Especially that A-Rod check swing when replay showed that he clearly went around.

Eaton has a lot of talent, no doubt about that, he just needs to figure things out and in time will be a very good pitcher for the Rangers.

Yeah, his start was a fluke. Next time he'll pitch 9 hitless innings instead of just 3.2.

Since that post wasn't supposed to be here, I can make it mean whatever I want. lol
