    Padres

    I thought Cameron had 1 more year on his contract and then an option for the following year.....I could be wrong.

    How about this deal....Mike Piazza to Anaheim for Jeff Weaver/Dallas McPherson or Scot Shields/Dallas McPherson...Shields has better stuff and would be better suited as the setup guy for Trevor than Scott "Gas Can" Linebrink has been.

    I would not do either of those deals because

    1) Jeff Weaver is garbage

    and

    2) Shields is not that much of a step up over Linebrink...who everyone thinks is done when he blows every 6th or 7th game.

    I think everything is fine as it is. I think it would be a mistake to break up the Piazza/Bard/Bowen tandem, each has done well so far.
