he was poking fun at a poster named joek who no longer posts on these forums.Quote:

to over simplify it, in joek's mind Adam Kennedy is a better 2nd baseman than Miguel Tejada because Kennedy was on a World Series winning team and Tejada never was.
To use it in this case, joek would tell us Chris Young didn't pitch a good game because he didn't get the win.
I say yesterday's game is a prime example of why wins and losses for pitchers is the most oeverated stat in all of proffesional sports.
Tejada the SS ?? or is that part of the joke ??
you're right, bad example.
He'd say Scott Spezio is a better 1st baseman than Albert Puljos for the same reason.
You going to the Cubs game on Sunday, right? Because I just got two tickets in the left field lower boxes.
yup with fmrf........... LF lower box 126, row 1 seats 12-13.....he's going to be down there very early, I already gave him his tix so he might be in the ballpark when it opens.....as for me, I'll get down there an hour or so prior....
mine are 130, row 6 seats 9 and 10
I'll be there with my brother.
He's a Reds fan, but he'll be on our side since he wants the Cubs to lose.
cool cool cya there...... I'll be the guy with the beer ...... lol
I don't think that narrows it down much :laugh:Quote:

dude..........you should warn people before you scare them :D
Clay Hensley just got hit in the head with a broken bat and now they're taking him out of the game.
He walked out on his own though, doesn't appear to be in bad shape at all.
well, on 2nd thought, it appears Clay is still in the game after mending himself up in the dugout and the trainers
Wow ... hit in the head with a broken bat and he stays in? Did it look bad?
Clay comes back, strikes out Robles and then gets the next guy to ground out.
what a gamer!
it looked bad, as in how it hit him. But it didn't look like it hurt him too much.Quote:

And then Hensley comes to the plate and hits a fly to the warning track. (caught, though)
