    Padres Bring up Justin Leone!

How much more are they expecting Justin Leone to do in the minors? He's hit 8 HR's while batting over .400 right now, why are we not bringing him up to see what he can do in the big leagues?

it's just a guess, but perhaps they want him to keep getting constant playtime, with Vinny taking up the 3 hole and all, and plan on bringing him up for next year?

Of course, how old is Leone? Is he a young'n or is he getting up there?

Either way, I would like to see him at the major league level as well.

Justin Leone..........I would love to see him come up but for me it would be to take a place on our bench..... taking the place of a hack like Bellhorn etc.....I'm not sure I'd want him starting over Vinny quite yet.... Vinny seems to be starting to hit a little ( not a lot ) and plays a GG calibur 3rd still.....he's no spring chicken but until he shows he can't field and isn't hovering around .300 we should hold off on Leone, unless it's like I said to take a spot on our bench

    Justin Leone:

    4/29 - 1/4 double 2 RBI's 2 Runs scored
    4/30 - 1/4

Just a sidenote, if you want to call it that...Jack Cust hit 2 HR's today, his 4th & 5th of the year.

I guess he hasn't played yet this year, can't tell you why. Perhaps the injury still.

I was curious about Leone since the luster of Bellhorn finally faded away, and he's back to his windmill ways.....I'm just dissappointed we didn't try to move him while he was worth a little something.....3 weeks ago people in this forum had us outright releasing him, last week we could have traded him for something ( who knows what), now he's fading off and about to become useless again.......and Blum should be playing before him anyway......

Leone seems to still be hitting well, and even though his fast start has slowed a bit, he's still hitting for avg.........

Major League Baseball general managers are aware of the concept of a hot streak and we still wouldn't have gotten crap for Bellhorn had we tried to trade him last week.
