This is true........the yah but is..........they are almost certain to not have a historic May again......and that month alone is what allowed us to win a soft division.... what they need is to start playing consisitant solid baseball in all facets.....so far I've been wrong about the pitching, thankfully, but the bats are just a mess

they did have a super strong May, but they also had a super weak June and July

if they just remain consistant in between for all three months they'll probably end up on the same track.

I have to admit that I haven't had the time to watch as many games this year as I ussually do. It's great Piazza hot HR #400, but where did or offense go. We've got better hitters than this. What's going on? We need to pull out of this slump.

I guess you can chalk this up to the guys getting to know each other and how to play as a team. The Padres are going to have their rough months, but it's how they come back the rest of the season.

    Padres

I've been a Padre fan since I was junior Padre when I was a kid. I moved from Southern California to Fresno and still followed the team via newspaper or ESPN. Now that I'm back in So Cal, I get to follow this team a little closer than ever before. I want to see this team break out and run away with this division, none of this 82-80, just squeeking by years again.

i'd rather win the division at 82-80 than miss the playoffs at 100-62

    Padres

River, I'm not much of an NFL fan, but there are 2 times of the year that I love....Padres baseball and Fresno State football. I don't understand how the Padres are so bad at home and can't muster more than 2 hits against the Dodgers? I agree with the sign you put up in an earlier post...."Welcome to Last Year"
