And it wouldn't have gotten shot down. A 3-2 pass vote at worst, although no one was really a big fan of the deal.

That's a pretty shitty cop out.

Some teams simply don't have those pieces in their arsenal to make an offer for a Hage. Or teams don't want a Hage (well, all teams want, but are not willing to pay). And I have no idea if you were bluffing that Chicago made you a far better offer than the two teams I know the offers of (NY and PIT), someone said that.

its true CWS made a good offer, but it was more of a now type of trade, Mann. Zapata. and his top two prospects. I could have taken that deal if I wanted too then ship them off the next day for spects but I don't think I could have gotten someone like Felipe Benitez.

MIN also tried with Reggie Martinez and Mark Tobar as the centre pieces.

I think the big thing is that of all the offers submitted, mine made the most sense for Halladay because I at least offered youth compared to the other offers.
