A's OAK block w/ prospects and stuff

Prospects I'd deal for a good SP:
#64 Caleb Rodriguez, Rightfield, 24 yrs, Oakland Athletics - Out of the Park Baseball Report

#52 Eric Kimsey, Rightfield, 24 yrs, Oakland Athletics - Out of the Park Baseball Report

#10 Vernon Wylie, Starting Pitcher, 24 yrs, Oakland Athletics - Out of the Park Baseball Report

Wylie and Kimsey are cheaper than Caleb. I might not move Caleb at all at this point, since he's probably the last good prospect left on my squad. But if I can get a real good starting pitcher for him without including much else, it'd be worth looking into.

    Some position players for trade:
#18 Joshua Hillier, Shortstop, 29 yrs, Oakland Athletics - Out of the Park Baseball Report
.832 ops in limited playing time this yr-- has been about what he's fished at each year over the past 3 seasons in a platoon/bench role)

#89 Alfonso "The Walrus" Nuno, Rightfield, 29 yrs, Oakland Athletics - Out of the Park Baseball Report
Don't have a real reason to move him now, just on here for my curiosity. All he's done is hit, especially since coming over from Pit, and he's signed dirt cheap for the next 2 yrs so I wouldn't move him for the sake of moving him, just tossing his name out. 662 slg% with 10 HRs and 10 2Bs in only 133 ABs. Plus, he's listed at 7"2 and about 400 pounds.

#74 Alberto Alonso, Starting Pitcher, 33 yrs, Oakland Athletics - Out of the Park Baseball Report
All-Star this season, second in the AL in wins (or up there, was 2nd a sim ago atleast) and a pending FA. See below...

Point of putting Alonso on the list is incase there are any contenders looking to get younger or go cheaper by unloading a star player for prospects, but don't want to risk creating a hole and falling out of the playoff picture completely. So I could include SP Alonso, an allstar on the year and pending FA, to fill a temporary void. Not looking to trade him for the sake of moving them or to rebuild though. Just mentioning this so I don't get cheap prospect offers from people who think I'm unloading... that's not what I'm really aiming for. Hillier I'll take a prospect for if you want him, low-minors or something (A or AA maybe). Or a MR (if developed, as long as his salary doesn't exceed Hillier's which is about 3mil I think).

At this point, I think I need a real good SP or MR more than a hitter. My offense has been better than I expected, and some guys are finally coming around.

I like John Soto a lot though, and Bemudez is cool.

    You my hollaback gurl KOZ.

I might actually make an offer. If I'm dealing prospects, I'd probably be inclined to only offer one of the top-3 unless it's a blockbuster-type deal... Marconi could be available, but I think I'd probably be a better idea for me to just call him up and cut one of my lousy veteran relievers at this point. Throw him into the fire and hope for the best. Sad thing is he's the best MR prospect I've developed since Bernal Valverde, who wasn't very good at any point really. Developed and kept anyway.

Sutton and Averill probably gone. Updated the thread a little. Still looking for a middle reliever with closer-potential and/or upside, or better yet, a starting pitcher who is locked up for awhile. Don't need anymore offense.

    Re: Small OAK trade block

    final bump before the deadline..

I'll trade Caleb, Wylie and Kimsey for a top-SP that isn't a pending FA.. as long as he's locked up through next year, I won't flinch if the player looks good and performs. PM offers to me and if it's good, I won't dick around.

I didn't wanna unload my entire farm (again), but my team is finally where I want it to be and to keep it at this level next yr I'd have to re-sign Alfonso and Hudson to shitty deals I don't like. Or play the FA game and replace them, which is the alternative option.

Just PM any offers. My top-3 pieces are the best I have left really, but if someone else in my top-10 interests you just make note.
