What do you make of this Wikileaks situation?

    Re: Ask Generalissimo thread

To keep it fairly brief, I think that the last/ongoing release serves no purpose. Whether I agreed or disagreed with the first couple of releases (concerning Iraq), there was some sense of "the people need to know the truth" behind releasing that information. The present release does not give the public anything noteworthy or interesting to deal with, merely affirms what everyone knew but refused to confirm so as to avoid a diplomatic embarrassment. This release serves no purpose except to embarrass the US, and I am not down with that.

Thoughts on Dan Schulman, Orel Herschiser, and Bobby Valentine being the new Sunday Night Baseball crew?

Yeah, that about sums it up for me as well. I do like listening to Bobby V, but could do without Orel and Schulman.

Do you find the name Timur to be silly? (no offense to Mizz of the thenflforums)

No, not at all. Tamerlane, if you recall, was Timur the Lame and he was a bad mamma jamma.

    Re: Ask Generalissimo thread

I've never been to NYC. Do the subways run through the Hudson and East Rivers as well? If so, that is dope.

    Re: Ask Generalissimo thread

Subways run over and under the East River. LIRR runs under. NJ transit trains run under Hudson, as well as the Lincoln and Holland tunnels. Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel runs under the ocean.

    Re: Ask Generalissimo thread

Wait, if the railway runs above the East River, then isn't it technically not a subway?

  14. #1364

    Re: Ask Generalissimo thread

"Subway" is just what we call it...they run above ground in some parts of the city, namely the outer boroughs.
