Our New Frontpage

This weekend we added vB Advanced to the forums, a portal system to act as our frontpage. There is still tweaking to be done but we hope this in the end will be a valuable addition to Strike 3 Forums. If you notice any bugs, please report them here or in the Members Association.

Also, I hope to add a module in which there will be links to all the forums so you can quickly access your favorite forum from the homepage.

As of right now the plan is to assemble a writing team (more on that later), so essentially only admins and those who get added to the writing team can start new threads. That isn't too say we won't allow others to write articles, they'll just have to get in contact with me or Ted and submit whatever they wrote.

Nice! Never seen a portal in vBulletin before, but I think it looks better than IPB.

One suggestion is that i think it should have a link to the index that shows all the froums.

Oh yeh - we have the code for that - I'll hand it off to mission or put it in later this evening, whatever y'all want.

Yeah, I added that just now. I still plan to look into adding a module though with links to all major forums but I'll look into that later.

Ok, I added that module.... I did it in a hurry so if is problems with it, let me know. But you should be able to access your favorite teams forum from the frontpage with relative ease now.

I also added a modifictation so when you're on the portal, the first link on the navbar is to the forums. But when you're on the forums, the link is to the portal.
