Mark Redman is finally gone!

The Royals have reportedly acquired Mark Redman from the Pirates for reliever Jonah Bayliss and a player to be named.
This makes far more sense for the Royals than giving up quality youngsters for Kris Benson. Redman will make $4.5 million next season after picking up his player option and will then become a free agent. If he pitches relatively well, the Royals could do quite a bit better for him than Bayliss at midseason. Bayliss isn't much more than a potential middle reliever. Dec. 7 - 3:05 pm et

The money is the reason I like this deal, even if the PTBNL isn't anything special. Great move getting Redman out of town.

yeah I am not a fan of Redman either he could win and lose games but more lose then win, but we do need some bullpen help with White, Mesa and Meadows gone so it's a good move after picking up the Casey contract
