*sigh* Mesa has been crap most of the season.

3 with the Cubs over the weekend, with Fogg-Williams and Wells going at home. I'm considering going tomorrow, but I haven't decided yet.

Anywhoo, back on Sunday with the weekend updates.

This season couldn't end soon enough...

Off day on Monday. Hopefully things brighten up.

Not a bright spot on the Bucs season there. Better luck against the DBacks guys.

    Arizona at Pittsburgh, September 6-8
    Tuesday: Javier Vazquez(10-14, 4.80) v. Paul Maholm(1-0, 0.00)...7:05 EST
    Wednesday: Brandon Webb(11-11, 3.88) v. Mark Redman(5-14, 4.89)...7:05 EST
    Thursday: Dustin Nippert(0-0, N/A) v. Dave Williams(10-11, 4.41)...12:35 EST

I'll probably head out and see semi-local boy Nippert make his major league debut. I'm thinking we should get at least one, hopefully two, because JVaz hasn't been great recently.

Ugh, Wigginton grounds into a double play with the bases loaded. I hate my life.

Tied at 2 on a Terrero single. Ugh.

Vazquez is done, 12 hits in 6...only 2 runs given up. Thanks, O.

Chad Tracy scored the winning run on a throwing error in the 12th.

    Ugh.

2 hits for Doumit, Mack, CWilson, Wigginton, Eldred and Sanchez and still a loss.

    Maholm was very good though...

    7 IP, 5H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 2K, 0 HR.

    Final was 4-2.

    Webb-Redman tomorrow.

Redman struggles again, and another 4-2 loss comes from it. *sigh*

2 hits for Wiggy and JWilson again.

I'm headed out to see WV's own Dustin Nippert tomorrow in his major league debut. Hmmm...

    BIIIIG WIN TODAY!

Mesa blows it in the 9th with a homer to Tony Clark, but Jason Bay gets it back off of Tim Worrell. Humberto Cota with a game winning single, and the Pirates salvage game 3.

WV boy Nippert goes 5, gives up 3 earned. Not a bad debut, and he didn't look too bad.

    Friday: Luke Hudson(6-7, 6.72) v. Oliver Perez(6-5, 6.16)
    Saturday: Ramon Ortiz(8-10, 5.26) v. Kip Wells(7-15, 4.62)
    Sunday: Brandon Claussen(9-9, 4.22) v. Paul Maholm(1-0, 1.20)

Should be able to pull out 2/3 with Oliver and Wells starting. Hopefully a sweep is in the works, but I think Maholm will probably lose on Sunday...

    2 in a row .

2 HR's for Jason Bay and another 2 hit game for JWilson and McLouth.

    Only 4 1/3 for Perez, 5 H, 3 ER, 2 BB and 5 K...Not a bad return, not what I was expecting though either.

Hudson went 2 2/3 and gave up 6 ER.

Vogelsong got the win in relief.

    Tough loss tonight.

3 hits for Wiggy and Big Country, a couple RBI for Wigginton and Mack in a 4-3 loss...

Torres took the loss giving up a run in the 9th...

    *sigh*
