    Re: Pirates Claim Brandon Wood

Wood goes 0 for 3 in an embarrassing Pirates loss that showcased everything that has been an issue with this team for the past few years..never running on all cylinders. Zero run support. Poor defense. Adequate pitching. He struck out twice in typical Wood fashion.

5-2 loss. Giants take the series 2 games to 3.

Wood is 2 for 11 with 3 ks through four games, rising his average from a meager .143 to an out of this world .160.

    oh yeah...

they made Ryan Vogelsong look like an all star

So far so good from Wood as he goes 2-3 today with a RBI. He now has his average up to .300 but more importantly his OBP up to .391. I'm starting to wish the Giants would have claimed him with as bad as Tejada has been but I don't anyone could have worked with him as well as Hurdle can.

oh ... I'm sorry. I just found it unlikely that anyone would get behind a stretch of about 10 at bats like it meant anything.

If we're going to do that

3-20 since you posted for a .150 average. Yummy!

I have a piece of shit. Let's say it's wearing a nice bow tie. Maybe even has a turtle neck sweater with this bowtie for kicks. Those two in combination are out of this world.

It has a nice little hat on. Maybe it's a hat he uses fishing with his buddies. Something to put all of his fly fishing lures on.

Maybe he has two different colored socks on. Little cats on the left foot. Little dogs on the right foot.

Perhaps wearing sneakers? Nikes. I was always a fan of Vans personally. I tend to walk a little bit sideways though so the wear kind of goes at an angle. It's weird. anyways...

This piece of shit signs up for the Pirates.

Turns out...he's still a piece of shit.

So glad he's outperforming Andy Laroche...OH WAIT!

Average with Athletics this season ? .235

    Woods average WITH Pirates? .204

Wow!! All that and you're still wrong.

Wood has a .225 average with the Pirates and has more RBI than LaRoche in less ABs so yes Wood is outperforming LaRoche. Wood also has no errors

If it's any consolation, it's a higher average than Jorge Posada.. >_>

Wood's BABIP is a solid .306 on the season, so I somehow doubt he's gonna catch on fire soon. On the less shitty side, his OPS for the season is over a hundred points higher than his career OPS of .467

He's never going to catch fire with inconsistent playing time. No one ever catches fire that way.

and his .173 career average is because he never had consistent play time? Lololololol.

I can give Smash Mouth a bunch of playtime on my ipod, they're suddenly not going to become a good band.

I've never seen such a defense of a horrible player in my life.

Really smart move by the Pirates. Glad they dumped their shitty players to get so much better, cheaper players.
