Could be a good allstar weekend for him, being apart of the game and likely the world homerun derby contest.

Good for him. Too bad half the people in Pittsburgh still don't care. Why else would there not be as many Pirates fans in this board as Steelers fans in the football forum?
When the steelers real off a 15-1 season, combined with Ben Cheeseberger being ungodly popular.. whatever chance people kinda like the pirates is long gone. However, given the chance, I'd be happy to attend games. My past experiences were pretty good, especially watching Larry Walker sky a homerun many years ago for the rockies to ultimately win the game.

after a decade of losing and empty promises, its hard to be a pirate fan. add to the fact the steelers went 15-1, its hard to like the pirates at all.
Yeah, extactly. If you've had losing seasons every year since Barry Bonds left(1992), you'd get quite annoyed too.
So that's why Pirate fans hate Barry
Can't say that even if they had the players, they'd be able to compete for a playoff spot. Not with St. louis and a healthier Cubs team around. Not to mention the astros still have Clemens and Oswalt, plus Lidge in the pen and Milwaukee has made obvious improvements in the last couple of seasons. It can be a very deep division.
