That hurts me just thinking about it. Poor pirates, at least Wilson gets ample amounts of playing time.

They should definetly bring up Big Country Eldred. He could pull off a Wally Pipp/Lou Gehrig.

Can't bring up Eldred to sit on the bench, and Craig has been hot the last week, so this may be a blessing. Wilson hits well, boosts his trade value and nets us a couple prospects in June.

No matter how good of a guy he is, Wilson is just as good of a hitter overall and his aquisition blocked Eldred.

I've said the same thing since the deal happened. *sigh*

You guys think the Bucs should try and trade Casey or they should get rid of him after this season? His contract is up after this year and he will be a FA. Do you think the Bucs will try and re-sign him?

I really think they should try, but with his injury and salary, it's going to be hard to move him. I doubt they would've had he'd stay healthy.

Would you take Williams back for Casey?

If you took Casey's entire contract, yes, I would.

I was so excited to see Casey play I was so excited when Iheard his name over the stadium speakers on opening day...and now this...well I still think

I'd prefer Burnitz playing CF everyday if Casey was healthy, he doesn't have bad range and it's not like Duffy or McLouth would give us more production than Wilson.

good point Wilton, I just hate the way Burnitz lails the bat for a homerun everytime, but I think Casey will give the team some sort of boast when he gets back
