You know, I think I'm getting paranoid about blaming Colburn for all of these problems with the pitchers. I mean, how good was Duke last year compared to this? And Oliver?Originally Posted by Friday133

a very nice outing by wells tonight, but its going to be too little too late for trade value.
Maybe we can get a project spect for him, a guy with a nice arm or bat, but little results thus far.
I'm hoping...
Will Wells go to the Reds for a spect? Would you guys be interested? Stand by, it could happen.
I'd love to see him go for a spect, Dave has to make a flurry of moves with in the next 23 hours for me not to be disappointed.
1-1 in the 9th after Armando Benitez blows a save with a homer to Jose Castillo.
Still 1-1, bases loaded and 2 out for Randy Winn...John Grabow(DOH!) in to pitch.
Ugh, Duffy is in center again, despite being 3 for 26 since returning to the majors, with an OPS of....231.
Yes. I hate Jim Tracy.
Oh yeah, and Bautista and McLouth are both sitting AGAIN(For Duffy and Burnitz)
Ugh, Burnitz grounds into a 6-4-3 double play to end the winning streak, with the tying run on first.
Where the hell was Bay? They said he'd be available to pinch hit tonight.
Man you guys took another loss tonight as well. Is Bay hurt right now or what?
He's sat out of the starting lineup with a tight hamstring the last 3 games. First games he's missed since coming to Pittsburgh.
Colborn could be screwing with their mechanics but I view him as the Jeff Tedford of pitching coaches. Under his watch Guillermo Mota, Omar Daal, Terry Adams, Matt Herges, and Nomo turned into solid pitchers. When they left LA they fell off the map. You can bring up Dodger Stadium but Mota was a gas can initially in LA and later lost the closing gig to Todd Jones despite pitching at Dolphins Stadium. And Herges wasn't exactly lights out in Pac Bell. Ishii was the only pitcher Colborn couldn't figure out but the Mets' Rick Peterson hasn't made Ishii a Cy Young candidate, either.Originally Posted by Witlon
Rubber game is today! You guys think your chances are good? Harang vs Santos?
Vic pitched pretty well last time out, so I'm hoping we can pull it out. It'd be nice to help the Cardinals out for once.
Shane Youman? Who is this kid who's blanking the Reds right now?
