    Burrell has started off HOT

He had a big day today: 3-5 with a homer and 5 RBI. Currently batting over .500. Of course, he's gonna cool off eventually but it sure is a great start. He's a notoriously slow starter.

The point has been over-used, but its valid. Charlie Manuel was Burrell's personal hitting instructor in 2002 when Burrell was an MVP candidate. Once they moved Manuel to the scouting department, he fell apart.

Now that Manuel is working hands-on with Burrell again, he's looked elite. He's making contact, and even more encouraging, he's hitting to the opposite field. Which he's never done in his career.

1-5, 3 run homer today. Already 15 RBI on the season. Pretty torrid pace. Burrell may go on to have a MVP season with Manuel working with him like you said.

I like Burrell. He's from California, can mash with the best of them and not to mention real cute. I know he's had a tough couple of years since he signed that fat contract. I hope he puts it all together this season.

Another 2-run HR off Al Leiter today. 17 RBI's in 7 games, now.

and yes, Pat Burrell is a sexy beast
