    Phillies Ryne Sandberg Returns

Ryne Sandberg is going to manage their AAA club. Good move, IMO. He is a quality guy that the Cubs let go.

Yeah the Cubs really dropped the ball with how they handled Sandberg. Seemed to be a lack of communication with the Cubs. Maybe Sandberg can earn a chance if Manuel steps down sometime soon. Not sure of Manuel's contract status but I'm sure its up sometime soon.

I don't see how the cubs "dropped the ball" on Sandberg. Quade was the obvious choice with how he handled the team. Why everyone looks at him as Jesus Christ is beyond me.

Anyway, I'm happy he got a job. I had a feeling he'd wind up back in AAA.

I said why I think they dropped the ball. They didn't communicate well with him. He didn't even know he was invited back to manage the AAA team until a reporter told him. Not very smart on the Cubs part. Its not about Quade being picked over Sandberg.
