    Phillies World Series roster move

    World Series: Philadelphia Phillies to add Brett Myers, drop Miguel Cairo - ESPN

    The Phillies dropped Miguel Cairo from the roster. They added Brett Myers.

    Myers was left off the NLCS roster due to a strained lat muscle. I guess they feel he is healed enough now and they need the extra arm.

    Myers is a long way away from the pitcher he was in 2006, but perhaps with the time off, he can be called upon to give a more effective inning in relief than some of the other Philly arms.
