Injury Utley Plans to be Ready Opening Day

According to Yahoo, his rehab is going better than expected. Here is a story:
Phillies' Utley hopes to be ready by opening day - MLB - Yahoo! Sports
This would be good news for the defending champs. They would not have to be concerned about whether the kid is ready to go or the old guys can still do the job.

I saw this the other day and I don't know what to think. I'm sure he wants to be ready for Opening Day, but the original doctor reports said he'd be out till like mid-May. How can he be THAT far ahead of schedule? Maybe he'll be ready, but a) will he be 100% and b) will he be able to avoid re-injuring his hip?

He starts swinging a bat next week so I will wait and see how that goes. Utley said he will listen to his body.

Well, he HAS to listen to his body. I would worry a little bit though, because as a 2B, you have a lot of side-to-side movement, and if his hip isn't 100% he could be making it worse, even without realizing it.
