On Friday the Rivercats won 4 - 3. Clark hit 2 homers.

The Rivercats played a doubleheader yesterday losing the first game 7 - 1 and winning the second game 2 - 0. Barton went 1 - 1 with 2 walks in the 2nd game. He is hitting .355 with an OBP of .512  Chad Gaudin went 6 and 1/3 (of the 7 innings) with 9 k's for the win. He lowered his ERA to 0.52.

Sacramento lost their last 2 games 7 - 1 and 3 - 2. Juan Dominguez took the loss in the 1st game. He only gave up 2 runs (2 earned), but did not make it out of the 5th inning. Flores took the loss in the 2nd game. Komine pitched well going 7 1/3 giving up 6 hits, 2 earned runs, 1 walk, and 6 k's. Barton had 2 hits including a triple.

The Rivercats split their last two games winning 7 - 3 and then losing 8 - 5 to Tacoma. Meyer got the win in the first game improving to 2 - 1. He went 6 innings giving up 5 hits, 2 earned runs, 0 walks, 4 k's, and 1 homer. He lowered his ERA to 5.02.

The Rivercats split their last 2 games as well winning 6 - 2 and then losing 4 - 1. Ginter homered and Barton tripled for the 3rd time already  He's now batting .286. Actually, he's up to .302 because he went 2 - 4 in the 2nd game.
Of note:
Outfield assists: Kielty (Ethier at 1st base).
Kielty doubled off former A's prospect Ethier at 1st :)

Sacramento split their last two games losing 6 - 0 and winning 6 - 4. Friggin' Aaron Sele beat us in the first game. Meyer would have gotten the win had Jairo Garcia, err Santiago Casilla, didn't blow the save in the bottom of the 8th...yes, the 8th...he pitched the 7th and into the 8th. Barton had 2 RBIs.
-
Sacramento went 1 - 3 in their last 4 games winning 3 - 0 and losing 10 - 3, 8 - 6, and 6 - 4.
Juan Dominguez got pounded again...his ERA is almost 10
Barton hit his 2nd homer of the season.
We had 2 blown saves in the last 2 games.
Meyer went 6 innings giving up only 1 earned run and would have gotten a win had the bullpen not blown it...he gave up 4 hits and 1 walk...had 0 k's...actually none of our pitchers recorded a k in that game
-
Sacramento went 1 - 3 in their last 4 games and are now in last place. They lost 9 - 6, won 11 - 6, lost 13 - 8, and lost 7 - 3. Dominguez got lit up again and McBeth is not doing that well anymore now that he's at AAA.
-
Sacramento split their last 4 games and got out of the basement. They won 8 - 5 with Meyer getting the win, lost 13 - 2, lost 6 - 5, and won 3 - 1 with Dominguez getting the win. Meyer went 6 innings, improved to 3 - 1 and lowered his ERA to 3.73 (he only gave up 1 earned run)...he also had 7 strikeouts. Dominguez improved to 2 - 4, but his ERA is still high at 7.62. He went 6 innings and only gave up 1 earned. Barton has cooled off a little; his average is down to .270, but his OBP is still pretty good at .388 (OPS of .809).
-
Sacramento went 2 - 3 in their last 5 games. They're in 3rd place 6 games back.

With the Oakland club still a little unsettled it has to effect the other clubs in the farm system. Oakland will come around, and this will help all the other clubs!
GO A'S GO RIVER CATS!!!
-
yea, the injuries have definitely messed up the minor league teams a little bit.

Watson's Contract Sold
He is now playing Japan for Chiba Lotte. He never really produced in the majors when he was given a chance. The typical AAAA player :dunno: He was playing quite well in AAA for us.
-
Sacramento went 3 - 2 in their last 5 games, but they are still 6 games out of 1st place.
-
Barton broke a bone in his elbow in a collision with Tony Womak...he is expected to be out 6 - 8 weeks and be in a cast for 3 weeks.
