Where will the A's finish this year?

I picked win the AL West and lose in the division series...they would probably play Boston and I have a feeling Boston will step it up in the postseason.

The A's have won 9 World Series, so it appears they don't always lose in the 1st round

At least they made the playoffs...many teams didn't.

I voted that the A's will miss the playoffs this year. I bet that they'd win the West in S3F Casino contest, but that was before they got hit with a few more injuries again. Crosby went on the DL and they're saying he'll likely be out for 3 weeks at minimum. Harden has missed 2 starts, but hasn't been placed on the DL yet. And Kotsay is missing a string of games due to his back for the 3rd time this season. I think they will miss the playoffs by less than 5 games.

If, however, the Angels keep struggling on offense and get an injury or two, then I think they can sneak in. But my prediction is that they will just miss the playoffs. They were not expected to even compete this year, never mind do as well as they have. I think missing the playoffs will only make them hungrier for next year and if the key players can stay healthy with the young players maturing, then I think they'll win the West next year.

I have no idea although I do think this team has more heart than last year's team. What that amounts to is anyone's guess but the injuries are a killer.
