    A's gunna sign Mark Bellhorn

The Boston Herald is reporting that the A's are gunna sign Mark Bellhorn after he clears waivers. Another good move by Billy Beane, who loves grabbing on to Boston rejects it seems (Jay Payton).

Payton has paid off since joining the A's...but I don't see where Bellhorn fits in as we have Ellis and Scutaro...and recently sent Ginter back to AAA...maybe Ginter is getting traded or released?

I don't know where he will fit in like Providence mentioned, but I love the move from a depth perspective. A versatile guy who can play several positions, usually has a quality eye at the plate and can hit for some power. Beane loves getting guys when their value is at a low but the potential for it to rebound is there. This would be a solid move.

He did originally come up with the A's...so Beane definitely knows what he can do

Bellhorn will hit .350 with a 2.000 OPS for Oakland and once again, Billy Beane will be anointed as savior when he leads them to the playoffs. Then they lose in 5 games.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Supposedly he is signing with the Yanks now...whatever. As I said, I don't see how he was going to fit.

And once again, Oakland makes a brilliant move...by not signing him.

Has this been settled yet. I read on ESPN that he is going to be a Yankee. Any solid news?

The Yankees announced today that they have signed infielder Mark Bellhorn to a Major-League contract. To make room for Bellhorn on their 40-man roster, the Yankees transferred RHP Carl Pavano from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list. The Yankees will announce an additional 25-man roster move prior to tonight's game in Seattle.
I guess he signed with the Spankees
