I will tentatively be at this evening's but will for sure be there for at least Saturday's game. Both Westbrook and Duke pitched well in their previous starts, though Duke's near perfection may give hims some kind of psychological edge (I'm all for karma an whatnot). A series win would be much appreciated here!
A's won 10 - 0 last night. Suzuki homered and had 3 hits with 2 RBIs. Sweeney had 3 hits and 2 RBIs as well. Duke got the win going 6 shutout innings. The A's turned 5 double plays.
No, unfortunately not, and not today either as he was a late scratch from the lineup (stained oblique I think?).
We lost 6-1. Carmona pitched exceptionally well. Combine that with our less-than-stellar offense and you get an easy Cleveland win. Rubber game tomorrow between Masterson and Gio. C'mon A's, let's get this series win!!!
So Carmona returned from his 2-3 year trip to Crapton
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

At least Anderson bounced back with 6 innings of 1-run ball and 5 k's. Gaudin needs to be released.
Give it time, the yankees will be calling for him.

Time for Carmona to be a Cy Young.... and get dealt.

A's won 11 - 0 today. Chavez and Kouzmanoff both were 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs, 1 run scored, and 1 walk. Patterson had a triple and homer with 3 RBIs. Gio got the win with 7 shutout innings. A's are off until Tuesday when they travel to Tampa.
Nice way to finish off the homestand with such a win (and series win). Only downfall is that Barton left the game early after making a nice play in foul territory to get his left index finger x-rayed (or something like that). Hopefully it's just a bruise and nothing more than that. Even still, it's nice to see the "replacement" players making a difference in the lineup and on the field and making the most out of their opportunities with the ballclub.
St. Petersburg, here we come!
