The A's get swept in SF after sweeping SF in Oakland. They're now under .500 at 32 - 33. These guys are quite frustrating.

C Suzuki signed an extension/new contract through 2013 with a vesting option for 2014 based on games played (120 or more). The deal is worth $16.25 mil and could be worth up to $26 mil if the option vests.

Thanks to the pitching of Dallas and Gio the A's took 2 of 3 from Texas in Arlington. They are now 7.5 games behind. They play one last time in Oakland for a 4-game series at the end of September. Now the A's travel to Yankee Stadium for a 4-game series.

I didn't realize until I read it yesterday, but the A's drafted Leake (7th round) the same year they drafted Cahill (2nd round).
