Have to go with the 1990 A's. That was an awesome team. What a lineup too.
Id go 1990's A's too
If it goes to the 9th inning with a lead. Eck is closing it.

TSSL: Seattle Mariners 2006-2029, Pittsburgh Pirates 2030-present (209-277, 5 division titles w/SEA, 1 championship w/SEA)
this is a pretty even matchup I think...I'll say 1990 in 6 or 7 games.
Really like this idea. I'll go with 2002 for the heck of it.

1990 A's. Billy Koch blows a save in one of the games.
Yup I agree. I always got nervous whenever Koch was on the moundOriginally Posted by realmofotalk

I don't think there is any question '90 was the better team, like I said last week I am still trying to figure out how that A's team only won 1 WS BUT at leats they got to 2 others, the A's of the early 90s never advanced to an ALCS so I definitely go w/ '90. Those A's teams used to absolutely dominate us, I think we didn't win a game against Oak in 1990.
I'm not sure what year it was, I think it was 1989, but I could be wrong...but I do remember one of those years the A's went 13 - 0 vs. the Yanks.
