A's avoided arbitration with MR Wuertz. They signed him to a 2-year deal with an option for a 3rd year (with a buyout). $2.2 mil for 2010, $2.8 mil for 2011, and $3.5 mil for 2012 with a $250k buyout.

Twitter / Jane Lee: Just talked w/ Joey Devine ...

Devine is ahead of rehab and will enter ST with no restrictions. Assuming he's healthy, one of the best bullpens from last season will be even better this season.

The A's brought back Grady Fuson. Eric Kubota must have run your drafts to the ground, because despite what Padre fans insist, Fuson is only slightly better with his calling card being "I told you so" with Jeremy Bonderman.

They brought him back as a special advisor. He's not replacing anyone.
