3rd place and 4 games back...

I guess there is no place for Herrera to move up right now because he's stuck here...He's still going strong and hopefully he'll be at AA, maybe AAA, next year...and then with the A's in 2007 at some point

Travis Buck who was our 1st pick this year is moving up quickly starting at Vancouver and now at Kane County and hitting .338.

Clifton Pennington our 2nd pick this year has 21 SBs in only 55 games at Kane County.

There doesn't appear to be any strong pitchers at Kane County right now as only 1 pitcher has an ERA under 3 and he's only pitched in 12 innings.

    I spoke too soon

    Joe Scott almost throws no-no

Joe Scott had Kane County pointed toward its first no-hitter, but ended up settling for an 8-0 shutout of Beloit on Monday night at home. Scott (5-1) no-hit the visiting Snappers through seven innings. He struck out five and walked three, dropping his ERA to 4.02, and was named the MiLB.com Star of the Day.
He was 2 - 0 with a 2.45 ERA at Vancouver before being promoted.

There are only 5 games left and I believe the Cougars are 1 game out of winning the Wild Card...they're 1.5 games out of winning the division...

The season is over and I don't think they made the playoffs.

Herrera finished with a solid season mostly at Kane County with a week at Sacramento thrown in there.

Not counting his brief AAA stint, he batted .275, OBP .374, SLG .444, OPS .818, 26 SB, 13 homers, 18 doubles, 62 RBIs. 70 runs, 47 walks....the not so good news is 110 k's in 360 ABs...31% of his ABs...hopefully he can cut that down. When he hit the ball he did well. Hopefully he begins at least at AA next year. He is only 20 years old.
