Future Looks Bright for Barton

What's most amazing, though, is that he's still a teenager. He won't turn 20 until August and when you speak to him, the starry-eyed kid sometimes shines through, especially when the subject matter is the Futures Game that will take place on July 10 in Detroit.

There doesn't really appear to be anyone that I haven't already mentioned that is doing exceptionally well at Stockton at this point (some have moved on to AA). But it doesn't matter as they're in 1st place, so they must be doing something right.

The Stockton Ports (42-26/78-60) clinched the second half Nothern Division Title with a 5-2 victory over the San Jose Giants (39-29/83-55) Saturday night at Banner Island Ballpark. The Ports lead the Giants by three games with two to play.
