After crushing AA pitching, Brant Colamarino was called up to AAA to take Johnson's spot. He was batting .321 with 10 homers and 45 RBIs with 4 triples for AA. His average is down at AAA so far.

All-Star Fan Fest (Old Sacramento) - July 9-12

SAT: 10 AM – 10 PM, SUN: 10 AM – 10 PM, MON: 12 – 10 PM, TUE: 12 – 10 PM
Old Sacramento

The 2005 Triple-A Fan Fest is a four day event located in historic Old Sacramento. Please note event times above. Open to the public, this event features a series of interactive activities that includes a batting cage area, speed pitch pen, wiffle-ball Home-Run Derby field, base stealing challenge station and more. A wide array of baseball exhibits and memorabilia will also be on display during the event. Food, beverages and merchandise will be available for purchase throughout the site. Entry to the event is free. Interactive activities are available on a pay-to-play basis for $5 per game.

All-Star Monday will commence with a celebrity softball game showcasing local Sacramento media and sports celebrities. Following the softball event, players from the Pacific Coast and International League will slug it out in the Home-Run Derby. Tickets are required for entry.


All-Star Fireworks Extravaganza (Old Sacramento) - July 12

The Fan Fest will culminate with a free concert and fireworks display in Old Sacramento on Tuesday evening. Tainted Love, a popular ‘80’s cover band will perform for an hour and half, from 7:30 – 9 pm. Following the concert, an extensive fireworks show – baseball themed with full narration, will light up the Sacramento skyline. The concert and fireworks show are open to the public.

Meyer is still sucking...we'll have to wait for next year when he's 100% healthy at the start of the season. Rheinecker is still injured. Colamarino is hitting for some power still, but his average is in the .250s. Cust has 18 homers with an OBP of .400, but I don't think he's ever going to get called up.

Charles Thomas is not really getting it done.

Matt Watson continues to do well for AAA.

Juan Cruz continues to dominate AAA batters and needs to be called up or traded...
