Cabrera did bean Hatteberg pretty bad. It was a 3-0 count with the catcher on the outside of the plate and Cabrera goes up and inside to hit Hatteberg. Nice way for a pitcher to respond to giving up 5 runs.
Cabrera's had some pretty bad control problems in his short career, but that's Rick Ankiel territory.
And how about Hatteberg thinking about fighting Cabrera? He's like 6'1, 210 and Cabrera's like 6'7, 250. Heh.

I wouldn't lump him in with Ankiel just yet.
This game is very humbling at times, and Cabrera got a good taste of just that, in one inning he gave up more runs than he did his entire spring. Cabrera let his frustration get the best of him and definitley intentionaly threw at Hatteberg and it was shameful.
Let's hope it doesn't carry over to tonight.

he's trying to take over Pedro's spot as the headhunter of the American League, huh? I'm sure he just got frustrated, but c'mon...no need to be a punk. He's just gonna get the other players on his team beaned because other teams can't retaliate against Cabrera...
