    Rays A's (still getting embarrassed) @ Rays 05/18 - 05/21

yay!! another game, another spanking. 13 - 4 with Gallagher getting his tits ripped last night. Gio Gonzalez was called up again...to make another relief appearance. He didn't do well either.

    Gallagher 2 1/3 innings, 9 runs, 7 earned, 3 hits, 5 walks, 1 k
    Gonzalez 3 2/3 innings, 4 runs, 4 earned, 6 hits, 3 walks, 6 k's

6 k's from Gio is encouraging, but the rest is terrible. He's only pitched in 2 games for the A's and both were in relief, but he's been starting in AAA. Why call him up to pitch out of the pen? Do we not have other relievers we can call up? He replaced Geise who was put on the DL.

wow, the A's won 2 games in a row (4 - 1 and 7 - 6). Anderson got his first MLB win. They go for the series win today at 1 EDT.

That catch last night was amazing, I thought for sure Ziegler had that game blown, but thankfully for the A's and my fantasy team he pulled it out.

yea, Sweeney has made some fantastic plays, but from what I've read he's misjudged his share as well. I wish he'd start fulfilling his promise as a hitter because we desperately need a solid CF (among other things).

and yay, the offense finally comes through and what happens? The bullpen coughs it up after having been solid so far this season. oh well, a split series it is.
