    A's A's @ Rangers

OMFG so we lost tonite's game 5-4 on behalf of Giambi's error. And if that's not bad enough, 4 guys had to leave the game. 4!!! Garciaparra, Ellis, Anderson, and Casilla. And get this - both Garciaparra and Ellis will be placed on the DL as of tomorrow. I don't even know what to say anymore... this is just insane.

Anderson and Casilla left? Anderson should be in AAA along with Cahill. Casilla has been great so far. I've been slacking so far this season...just haven't been able to get into it.

Losing Nomar is almost addition by subtraction at this point, isn't it?

Nomar has been hitting hasn't he? Anytime you lose four players in a game its tough. I read where Barton isn't hitting .200 even in the minors.

Anderson just had a blister and isn't expected to miss his next start. Eric Patterson is being called up to replace Ellis.

HA Nomar's been placed on the 15-day DL with strained right calf, and Ellie with a strained left calf. Joy.

Also, Outman makes his first start tonite since forever. He'll be going up against Padilla, who the Rangers are 3-1 behind. I'm really iffy on how Outman will pitch... 10 days of rest is a long time for something to fall out of place. Hopefully it won't/hasn't though. We'll see.

His name is "Outman"? That's a great name for a pitcher. He's a man who gets outs. It's a lot better than that dude on Tampa: "Ball four" or whatever.

So game two was PPD because of rain (that's like 3-4 games this month that have been PPD... when will we ever have time to make them up?). And then we won yesterday's game 4-2. Sweeney had a SICK catch, robbing Kinsler of a HR. Speaking of, Holliday (finally) hit his first HR as an Athletic yesterday. Took long enough.

    Next up, the Mariners...

I agree! Huge catch from Sweeney in center field who leaped over the wall like Spider-man on steroids. Saved a three-run home run, which ended up being the difference in the ball game. Sweeney <3

the replay of the sequence is the best. you hear the fans roar when Kinsler hits the ball and as it closes in on leaving the field, but as soon as Sweeney catches it you can hear the air let out lol.

Braden actually likened him to a Greek God, but Spiderman is pretty sweet too. I'd be happy with either one.
