Ugh Brett. Just when you told me they were ahead 4-1 and BAM look what happens.
Ugh Brett. Just when you told me they were ahead 4-1 and BAM look what happens.
That's exactly what I was thinking. I have no idea what happened, but I don't think I want to know.
6-4 M's lead.
And 6-4 is the final. Blanton was pitching great up until that fateful inning. I have no idea what happened. He just lost his rhythm and whoop! all hell broke out. Hopefully we'll get tomorrow's game.
Smith has been pitching very well so far. It's a 0-0 game in the top of the sixth. Strike that, bottom of the sixth. Smith's closing in on 100 pitches, so that was most likely his last inning. OF Ryan Sweeney left the game in the fourth inning with like a jammed wrist or something when he was tagged out trying to steal second. Nothing seems to be going right for him now. Thank God for Gonzalez and Bankston.
Still scoreless in the top of the 8th. Ziegler extended his scoreless inning streak, but Casilla allows a double to the first batter he faces (Lopez). C'mon guys! Shut 'em down! And let's get some offense going and take this series!
UGH Casilla allows a RBI single to Vidro, then he unleashes a wild pitch before being shown the door. Now Ichiro is up with runners at the corners and Blevins is the pitcher. It's not looking pretty. And I was right. Ichiro walks, so now it's bases loaded with Cairo at the plate. Not good.
Phew it's only 1-0. Thank God they only got the one run. It was looking real ugly in that inning. We have got to string together some hits asap to get that run back.
WE WON! WE WON WE WON WE WON! (i hope you can read that cuz i can't)
So we were down 2-0 going into the bottom of the ninth, but then Cust leads off with a solo shot, then Suzuki hit one too (as a pinch hitter with two outs!!!). And then in the bottom of the eleventh, Emil Brown launches one and we win the game! Woot woot! And Smith pitched a great game too. He allowed no runs in six innings of work. And big props to our bullpen for keeping the M's to just two runs. It could have been a lot worse!
But we won, and that's all that counts.
yea, amazing...3 solo homers for the comeback.
Only in Seattle does that happen yet. And the sad thing is, I hate the Seahawks so I can't look forward to that like the rest of the town.
