    Angels A's - Angels series

    Smith went the distance for the win in game 1 by a score of 6 - 1. Embree gave it up tonight in game two. A's were winning 3 -2 before Embree gave up 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th. Tomorrow is the rubber match of Eveland vs. Saunders.

    A's lost today 7 - 4. And Chavez was put on the DL with a sore shoulder.

    Foulke took the loss giving up a homer to Juan Rivera. The White Sox are up next for the A's. Duke is going tomorrow.

    A's are only 5.5 games back...it's the first week in July The fact that the A's are this close and weren't supposed to be is embarrassing for them IMHO.
