I'm obviously hoping for a win. Last series the M's outscored us like 20-3 er something like that. Raul Ibanez and Richie Sexson are both on the leader board in HRs and RBIs, so we have to be careful with them. I still think we can pull out a win though.

A's won 4 - 3 last night with Eveland getting the win and the pen helping out big time. Casilla added another 1.1 shutout innings with 2 k's and Brown added another shutout inning. Street's ERA is now under 5.00 with his save last night

The M's are starting to get to Duke...2-0 M's. Our offense has got to wake up. Bedard is not overpowering at all, but his cutter is just killing us.

Nice DP by Crosby and Ellie, and a great stretch by Sweeney to end the inning.

A's just scored 4 runs in the top of the 8th off King Felix to take a 4 - 2 lead. Blanton went 7 strong and Casilla is in now...struck out the first guy he faced.

A's held off the M's 4 - 2...Blanton finally gets lucky and earns the win. Casilla and Street each pitched an shutout inning of relief.

For the longest time I thought that Blanton was going to be the hard-luck loser again. King Felix was absolutely lights out until then. Great job to Blanton for never giving up though. Nice win all-around.

Why Feliz was left in that long I have no idea.

I was a little shocked when I got home and saw that we beat Felix.

    Big series this week.
