Same pitching match ups as before...Blanton vs. Dice-K and Lester vs. Harden. At least we'll get revenue from these true HOME games...

Both the A's and Sox did get a compensation package for the games that they missed while in Japan I thought...oh well either way they're back in Oakland now. And I'll be there for opening day. Yay!
the players got paid...I'm talking about the revenue from the tickets and such.
Yeah that's what I meant. I thought that they got some money (equivilent to tickets) for all the games they missed. I know the Sox did, and I just assumed the A's would have too...guess not?
I hope the A's win
I'm looking forward to tonight. My wife is in school so I can't make the game but I'll be drinking and watching on TV.
Go A's!!!
Cust went opposite field for a solo shot.
1-0 A's and Hanahan (sp?) is playing some serious defense already tonight.
1 - 1 after 5 innings...let's go A's
I'm off to bed soon, but hopefully, they'll pull it out.
1-1 after the sux got a gift call at the plate.
Blanton is pitching one hell of a game tonight.
no...the games were A's home games. They were not Red Sox home games...they have all 81 home games at Fenway this year. We have 79 in Oakland.
Well screw the money we lost yesterday 2-1. Blanton pitched a great game IMO, our offense just sucked. There was a nice pre-game ceremony though. Dick Williams was there, along with Sal Bando and Terry Steinbach and Joe Rudi and Dave Henderson. It was pretty neat.
Interesting that the A's finally gave Travis Buck the hook. 7 strikeouts in 14 at-bats to start the season and he gets a seat on the bench. Or maybe it's because they're facing lefty Jon Lester?
