    Thanks for the info on Harden Prov and good point about this season. I'm starting to get excited again and look forward to seeing some of the younger guys.

    We just gave Mr Sweeny a minor-league contract. Seems like we're going to keep up our tradition of signing vets at the end of their career to add a "spark" to our lineup.

    Apparently, Meyer does have 1 option left due to injuries and not enough playing time at AAA. We don't have to worry about losing him now if he doesn't win the 5 spot.

    I saw that Meyer did well yesterday. Good things. Maybe Blanton will be traded and Meyer fills a spot in the rotation.

    ESPN - Forst says injury concerns a big reason for A's moves - MLB

    Here's a nice little interview with assistant GM David Forst that talks about the off-season moves and the direction of the club. He also says he has no desire to be a GM or to leave the A's anytime soon.
