Game 1: Advantage O's, but good pitching matchup.
Game 2: A's automatically win
Game 3: Slight Advantage O's since Braden is a LHP and we can't hit them.

Game 1 features two outstanding pitchers. Bedard is the leader in K's, while Blanton has been one of our most consistent guys all year. I say A's win games 1 and 2, (and hopefully 3), but Guthrie has really done one heckuva job for you guys so far. If he can keep it up, he can make a case for the ROTY award.

Sidenote - I'll be at game 2 (which everyone knows the A's will win ). I'll be in the LF bleachers with the rest of my gang (you know, the flags, the drums, the 510 guy...).

A's are losing 6 - 0 in the 6th...we don't even have a hit yet (through 5)...I'm out

Ellis homered to make it 6 - 1...but assuming we lose this game, the best we can expect is a 3 - 3 home stand...I was really hoping for at least 4 - 2 against Texas and Baltimore...we're really playing crappy lately.

We lost. That's the 10th loss in 11 games. We managed only 3 hits off Bedard, while striking out 13 times, 11 from Bedard. Piazza, just activated from the DL, k'd 3 outta his 4 ABs. Welcome back, Mike. Welcome back.

Well, atleast we've got tomorrow to look forward to. Haren vs Trachsel, Mike Piazza bobblehead nite. If Piazza turns in a performance anything like tonite's, the fans there won't be very happy...

Suzuki is still learning obviously...we'll have to deal with it. Hopefully, we can win today and make it a 3 - 3 home stand at least.

YAY we won. Me and my LF crew were partying after the game...I'm dead tired. Which is not good cause I'm leaving for Hawaii later today...

It's Braden vs Guthrie. Jeremy is a Stanford product, so he's technically a local guy. He's pitched pretty well, and could earn a shot at the ROTY award. Braden is still learning, and he hasn't earned my trust just yet. It'll be interesting to see how well he works with Suzuki today.

Suzuki is not playing today...although I'm sure he'd be fine with Braden since they were in AA and AAA together.
