I believe the A's can do whatever the hell they want boss...

Harden only pitched 1 inning as they wanted to get Embree some work...and Embree sucked. Harden struck out 2 in 1 inning again. It was 5 - 2 Indians and I turned it off...

Well, the A's lost. 5-2 was the total. Sabathia pitched a compete game. Gaudin didn't actually have that bad of an outing. IMO, it was Embree who wasn't having a good outing. I think it was because he was rarely used over the past few series.

Well, he's still in Toronto, and will join the team when the A's go to NY. There is no timetable on his return though.

Well, Embree had been doing a great job until recently. I wouldn't give up on him just yet. Something's got him off-balance enough (not literally) so that he can't shut the door on the oponents. I think it's lack of appearances. Hopefully he'll be able to perform better this series.

Can we just put Chavez at the bottom of the order and leave him there?

He's 0-8 with the bases loaded this year and has stranded 6 baserunners already tonight. The guy will hit for maybe a week (at best) over a month and the rest of the time he's below average.

I agree. IMO, he's never really been the clean-up hitter type. Maybe bat 6th or 7th, but in the clean-up spot? I don't think so. Did you see how Geren decided to send the runners on a 3-2 pitch with Chavez at the plate, even with how he's been struggling? And Cust was on deck too. Don't want to make him look like the bad guy, but he's always saying that he's not producing because he's "hurt". Is it that bad or that serious of an injury that it keeps being a factor? Either way, I don't think that he belongs in the middle of the lineup.

On a lighter note, the A's are winning, 4-3!

Chavez definetly isn't your typical clean-up hitter, but who should the A's put in that position. Maybe Piazza when he returns, or maybe Swisher but I think he is a much better 3rd place hitter. Cust does have the power, but other than that he strikeouts out way too much. I really don't see a classic cleanup hitter on the A's.

OMFG, I was watching the Orioles bottom of the 9th and the A's were winning 5-3. Embree is having some poor performances lately. They need Huston Street back and quick.

I did. What the hell is up with the A's bullpen? They can't hold a flippn' lead anymore!
