it's 4 - 4 going into the bottom of the 11th. The A's were ahead 3 - 2 until Ausmus hit a 2-run homer to give the Astros a 4 - 3 lead. The A's scored a run in the top of the 9th off Lidge to tie the game though.

and of course Ausmus singles in the winning run on a 3 - 0 count with only 1 out. Flores gets the loss.

Blanton needs a strong outing today. We're on the mend and it's nice having Kotsay back. Now we just need some relievers to get healthy as well as Piazza.

And can we hit a friggin HR with somebody on base?
