Good luck with the job search Prov; you'll find something bro.
Texas lost and the Angels are losing so if we're gonna go soft for a couple games now is the time I guess.
We'll bounce back.
hopefully, I always have...just at the last minutes.Originally Posted by A'sDiehard

2005: after grad school I didn't get a teaching position until after school had already started. It was a private school and I wasn't even the 1st choice. I was the 2nd choice out of 2 people. The 1st person took the job and then quit. I ended up being a 1 year fill-in..."it wasn't the right fit for the population (behavior disordered)...you'd be better suited for public schools." They had no problem with how I taught or anything...just didn't think it was the right fit. I wasn't the only one either...it was the kind of job you'd do for a couple years to get experience because they pay you significantly less...I was already looking for another job anyway, but it would have been nice to have something to fall back on.
so as you can see 3 out of the last 4 years I've had to spend the summer searching and found something at the last minute...it's very frustrating...I just want to work and have some security...I may have to leave teaching to get that. The problem with public schools is that I have a masters and because of the union, they have to pay you more contractually. Therefore, they like to hire people fresh out of undergrad so they can pay them less. [/RANT]
Gotta love those unions . Sorry, not a big union fan. I graduated (undergrad) in '02 and worked in my field (environmental) for a couple years but right when the State of CA went broke so I was on contract the whole time. I've always owned my small business which helped me thru college and eventually I got a job as a service manager in the yacht business. I've been there a year now and I've had a few offers from public agencies recently but my heart just isn't in it right now even tho it pays well. My current job also feeds my business so what the hell; plus I'm tired of bouncing around so I can relate to that. That masters will make you good money at some point so hang in there.
BTW, ya think we can score a run tomorrow? This team is a trip.
thanks man...I'm going to look at other options altogether as well...
let's try to get 2 hits first 1 hit tonight...
hopefully, Zito can continue his winning streak today
Hopefully.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!
The 2074 MSL NL Gold Glove Recipient at Third Base.
interesting lineup tonight...Zito is needs to be on for sure...
Rouse is leading off at 2nd. Crosbert is out of the lineup and Scutaro is at short. Kielty is in RF with Payton on the pine. Melhuse is catching with Kendall on the pine. Everything else is the usual...Johnson at 1st, Swisher in left, Chavez at 3rd, and Kotsay in center.
Rouse
Swisher
Kotsay
Chavez
Kielty
Johnson
Melhuse
Scutaro
Zito
A's go 1-2-3...woo hoo!!! 23 scoreless innings in a row (last 4 of the Dodgers game, back-to-back shutouts, and 1 inning so far tonight)! yay!!!
*ugh*
We need a big inning- bad!!
1st and 2nd for the Rocks with 1 out...
well, that was weird play...dude hits a pop up between Rouse, Johnson, and Kielty...Rouse dives and catches it, but it pops out of his glove when he hits the ground...Kielty forced the runner at 3rd...bases loaded with 2 outs now...
and Zito gets out of it with a line drive to short.
24 straight innings...
Jeezuz that was ugly.......I don't know if I can watch this.
