Good start to the game for Blanton as he gets 'em 1-2-3. Crosby made a nice barehanded play

Just got back from the game- I took my son and he actually lasted 5 innings albeit this was a fast paced game. We were able to stay long enough to see Jay Payton go deep so that was cool. Blanton looks great tonight. The only downer right now is that Chavez is a mess at the plate; when that guy slumps he REALLY slumps.

Going to the bottom of the ninth, 2-0 A's.

I'm starting to think we may never beat the A's. Ever.

Never say never. Ichiro singled and Beltre just doubled; second and third no outs.

    Here comes Street.

Great- Street just hit a batter.

This is where Chavez grounding into a double play with the bases loaded is starting to hurt.

Bases loaded, no outs, can't produce one run. Pathetic. Ibanez and Sexy can't even put a ball in play.

Wow!!! The Mariners had the bases loaded with nobody out and Street struck out Ibanez and Sexon and got Carla Everett to fly out. Amazing and a well deserved win for Street.

Now let's get the bats going tomorrow night.

M's had bases loaded with no outs in the 1st. All they got was 1 run on a double play. The next batter struck out to end the inning. 1 - 0 M's after 1.

Thomas just singled off the wall to drive in another run- Bradley went in to pinch-run but it looks like Frank is ok. 3-1 A's.

No but he was running pretty slowly and ackwardly; he was getting high fives in the dugout and I think it's just the same bad wheel he's been dealing with. I'd like to get far enough over .500 to give him a few days; that and we need Chavez to heat up to do that IMO.
