6 - 3 now...2 singles and then a force out and error trying to turn a double player. 1st base with 1 out.
6 - 3 A's going into the 9th.
6 - 4 A's in the bottom of the 9th. 2nd base with 1 out for the Jays.
6 - 5 with 2 outs and a runner on 2nd for Glaus now.
and he pops out to end the game :phew:
Haren improves to 2 - 3, Calero gets a hold, and Street gets a tough save...and if Macha uses Street tomorrow (if there is a save situation) I'm gonna scream...He threw 30 pitches in 1 1/3 innings and we just got him back from injury...it's too early to be burning him out. I hope he gets 2 days off now.
Okay, I'm going to chalk that up to Street being a little rusty and the Jays being a damn good hitting team. I think-I hope. Whatever, I'll take it. *whew*
Prov, do you know where Chavy was tonight?
late scratch because he got sick 20 minutes before the game according to the A's site...
Good game. We'll get you guys tomorrow :)
maybe...tomorrow is a battle of 2005's best rookie pitchers.
Thanks and I agree about Street; friggin Macha.
Thanks Slam; no worries, you guys can flat rake.
macha! macha! macha! the joke is on us kermie 'ol pal
I'm willing to bet Macha runs Huston out there again toinight if the situation calls for it.
Welp, Blanton is getting knocked around already. Two doubles and a single, 1-0 with runners on the corners and no outs. And the A's stranded two basreunners in the first with one out.
