ANAHEIM, California (Ticker) - New Oakland Athletics owner Lewis Wolff appears committed to the future.

Less than three weeks after locking up righthander Rich Harden through the 2008 season, Wolff's Athletics agreed to terms Friday with shortstop Bobby Crosby on a five-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal keeps the 2004 American League Rookie of the Year in Oakland through the 2009 campaign.

OAKLAND: SS Bobby Crosby, last season's AL Rookie of the Year, agreed to a five-year, $12.75 million contract with the Athletics. He gets a $250,000 signing bonus, and salaries of $500,000 this year, $750,000 next year, $2.5 million in 2007, $3.5 million in 2008 and $5.25 million in 2009.
