I'm going to finish watching the Mariners/Rangers game. Goodnight A's fans and we'll be in a good mood tomorrow.

Great, Kenny freakin Rogers is pitching tonight; he's something like 24-3 career in Oakland. I just benched Blanton on my fantasy team.
I hope we pound that a-hole.
yea...here's hoping Chavvy lines one off his dome in the 1st!
and did you see my last post in the random ramblings thread?
no score after 1 inning.
1 - 0 Tigers in the 2nd...Craig Monroe singled in a run.
Frank Thomas homers to tie it up
3 - 1 Tigers now in the top of the 4th on another Monroe RBI single and a SF by Inge.
it's 6 - 1 Tigers now in the top of the 5th. Blanton is out, Saarloos in, and I'm out...I won't be back tonight unless they A's make this a game. Kotsay and Chavez are sitting this game out. Afternoon game tomorrow.
Also, **** Macha! I know Johnson is struggling, but before this series started Macha said Johnson would be in there at 1st base and Swisher has been there both games...which is fine, but why would you publicly say Johnson would be in there and then not do it? asshole...
I didn't know that. Anyways, looks like I didn't miss much. Sad thing is the Angels lost again but we can't keep hoping for that and don't look now but here come the Rangers.Originally Posted by Providence A's

and now he says:"My contention is our best defense is with Dan Johnson playing first," Macha said. "There's no need to make a move just yet. When the Tigers come in he'll be out there playing first."

As for Dan Johnson, he remains on the bench even though Macha had said Sunday that the first baseman, with one hit in 31 at-bats (.031) would be in the lineup against Detroit.
That's still likely to happen, Macha said, but not until Thursday.
I think this about sums it up for last night:
What time does the game start EST?
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!
