First things first, lock up Didi long term then go sign Ohtani.

Yankees reportedly the heavy favorite for Ohtani at the moment. Also sounds like they're interested in Profar. Seems like another player that Cashman must see some value in, another one of those Aaron Hicks type situations. Hell, if Cashman can somehow revitalize Profar like he did Hicks, I'm all for it.

A deal for Stanton is in the talks. This could get interesting.

So the Yankees only have to give up two prospects, neither of which is even a top 100, to get the best hitter in the game just so the Marlins can save a few dollars? I thought Loria sold the team? Or is this Jeter doing the Yankees a solid?

Jeter remembers who made him. #SolidfortheBronx.

Seriously though, how many teams could really afford him? Not that its a bad contract (reigning MVP) just you would have to get a HUGE revenue boost to pay that off. I wish baseball would find/negotiate someway to make ALL the teams eligible for a deal like this, not just the Cubs, Yanks, Dodgers, and a few others.

I thought Guzman was cracking the Top 100 this offseason? Even though I realize that's not quite the point.

Josh Bard is hired as the bench coach.. Interesting choice considering all we heard was, "Boone is going to need to have a really strong veteran presence who has had a lot of experience as his bench coach".

I think after the Stanton trade I can manage them to the playoffs. Boone should be fine.

Yankees now one of the teams talking to the Pirates for Gerrit Cole. I read that they like Miguel Andujar, and Clint Frazier. They better get used to only liking one.

After getting the best hitter in the game for virtual pennies the Yankees need to be raped on their next trade if they make one.

Looks like the Yankees get Jabari Blash and were mainly interested in shedding the salary.

I officially don't hate this deal.

The Padres mainly liked getting Mitchell for money, it appears

Seems like a deal that makes sense for both sides. I know Headley wasn't unbelievable but he was solid piece that you could at least rely on to play a good 3B.
