Thread: Next up the ChiSox

    Next up the ChiSox

We have Moose vs El Duque, then Chacon vs Contreras, and Small vs Garcia.

I really think we need to come up big in this 6 game homestand vs Chicago and Texas.

From the matchups, I'd say 2-1 Sox in the series. Moose is far better than Duque, but Contreras should beat Chacon and Garcia should beat Small. Should be a good series.

We'll be lucky to get 1, I'd take El Duque over Moose any day of the week in a big game and this is big to El duque. I like the Chacon-Contreras matchup and that may be our only W but of course anything can happen in baseball so who knows.

We need to get 2 out of 3 here, gonna be a tough one.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

I still think we should have kept El Duque.

Moose pitched well enough and the yanks held on for a 3-2 win over El Duque and the ChiSox. The pen was great after Moose went 6 and DRod hit his 32nd HR. Hopefully we can get 1 of these next 2 and win this series.

tonight another former Yankee(this one less successful than Hernandez), Jose Contreras, returns to Yankee Stadium and for the yanks it's Shawn Chacon. Let's hope Chacon can keep up what he's been doing.

Anytime you get 4 hits and win a game you have to be happy.

Great performance by Contreras today. Chacon was on too. It's too bad either team has to lose either of the past 2 games, because both played well.

Great job by both pitchers, I loved the Chacon move when it was rumored and it has been great so far. Contreras pitched like the guy we thought we were getting, oh well I have no bad feelings towards him and wish him luck.

I just don't understand why they had Jeter bunt in the bot of the 8th, I'd much rather have Jeter hitting w/ 0 out & Womack on 1st than Cano(who has been awful the last few weeks) hitting w/ 1 out and Womack on 2nd.

Did anyone se the idiot who jumped from the upper deck?

It's too bad he wasn't hurt much worse.

Aaron Small has pitched great again today, the Yanks and ChiSox are tied at 1 heading into the 8th. Gordon has come in for Small and promptly walks the leadoff hitter after Small had retired 12 straight.

Konerko flies out, if we can scratch out a run here Mo will slam the door. The top of the order is due up so we have our best chance.

Jeter grounds out, next up the struggling Cano.

Cano keeps up his hot hitting flying out to RF. We need to drop him in the order, he is an automatic out sandwiched btw Jeter & Sheff.

Sheff grounds out, the throw pulled Konerko off the bag and Sheff was safe but he was called out.
